Blog Post #2: Pop Culture and Celebrities

The article "Pop Culture Fashion Explored" (
here) gives many examples on different celebrities and idols in pop culture who influenced fashion. It also explains how it links to other things like music, social media, and trends. They state "Both pop culture and fashion are means to creative expression. And also along with the art, music, film styles and television shows of a given age. Pop artists and media set the trends. Fashion-forward followers adopt them to emulate the actions of the creators they look up to the most." The example the author gives to show this is how Kate Middleton wore a Tory Burch dress in 2014, which ended up selling out completely.

An article by The Music Trunk (here) has a chronological evolution of pop culture fashion trends.
